The Pool will open on August 11, 2021 and will remain open on a 7 day a week schedule through September 6, 2021 (Labor Day). Daily times are 12pm to 7pm.

I’m happy to say that the construction needed to bring our pool up to 2021 safety codes is complete. Both the main pool and the kiddie pool have been re-grounded to ensure the safety of all members for years to come. Both pools have been acid washed and both pools have had the coping resurfaced and/or repaired and in some cases replaced. New ladders, lifeguard stands and handrails are being installed. The ladders have been moved, albeit only slightly, to again be complaint with NJ State safety codes.

For the roughly 4 weeks that the pool will be in operation on-line daily registration will be required to enter the pool grounds.  The daily registration process, as it was last year, will once again be monitored via the Township of Union web site. I have attached a direct link to the registration page. https://secure.rec1.com/NJ/union-township-nj/catalog

The daily fee is $5 per adult and $3 for school aged children. Children younger than school age are free. Payment MUST be made upon registration via credit card. There will be no cash transactions on site. The daily capacity limit will be 150 persons. There will NOT be split sessions as there was in 2020. Your registration will allow you to attend the pool for the entire day (12pm to 7pm).

Please note that there is no registration on the web-site for Saturday August 14, the day of the Columbian Club’s annual Lobster Festival. On Saturday August 14, the pool will only be accessible to the members and their guests who are attending the Lobster Festival. Your admission to the pool on August 14 is your ticket to the Lobster Festival.

As of 8/4/21 we have yet to confirm that we will have the lifeguard staff available to have the pool open on Saturday September 11, 2021, which is the day of the Knights of Columbus Annual Family Picnic. We will have further information about the use of the pool on this day in the coming weeks.

The Snack Stand and the Sun Deck will not be open this year.

While we will have the full allotment of our green Adirondack chairs available the use of the lounge chairs will be limited. As such we will allow for all those attending the pool to bring their own chairs - to be used at your own risk. The Swim Club, the Columbian Club nor the Township of Union will be responsible for personal items. All chairs must be taken with you at the end of the day.

Lastly, as I understand there has been much unfounded speculation and rumor about the Swim Club. I personally am not involved with social media so I have not had the opportunity to address those rumors first hand. Should you have any questions or concerns about the 2021 season feel free to email me at 4504swimclub@gmail.com. There will also be a General Membership meeting in late September that we encourage you to attend to have your questions heard and answered. An email with the exact date will be provided shortly.
