Volunteer Needed at Runnells

Brothers, every 5th Sunday, Council 4504 visits Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights to comfort the patients and assist those who wish to attend Mass.

Due to greater attendance, the Mass has now been moved from the 1st floor Chapel to the 3rd floor and help is always needed. If you wish to lend us about 2 hours of your time on Sunday mornings, please call Nick Belmonte at 908-447-1869.

2012 Schedule: January 29, 2012, March 4, 2012, April 8, 2012, May 13, 2012 and June 17, 2012.

Wake Call Outs

For the past two years, we have been relying on Email blasts to advise Brother Knights of the funeral arrangements for a Brother Knight who passes away.  If you would like to be on that email list, please contact Grand Knight Andy Schopfer so that he can have your name added.  If you do not have access to email, and wish to be called about attending Wake services, please let Andy, Steve Nagy or Mike Peter, PGK know and we will re-start a phone chain to keep you in the loop.

Attendance at our wake services is an activity that takes minimal time, but is well received by the families of those who have lost a loved one.  Please consider attending, even if you may not personally know the deceased member.
Chili Cook Off

On Saturday, February 11th, the Columbian Club will again be sponsoring a chili cook off to determine the best Chili Chef in the area.  Participants should bring their entries to the Council by 1:00 PM, warmed and ready to serve.  The judging will start shortly thereafter.

Visitors should bring their appetites so that the judge’s choices can be affirmed!

Prizes will be awarded!

For more information, contact Vice President Mike LoGuidice.
